Abstract: | Complexes of ZnII, CdII and HgII with tetradentate Schiff bases derived from 3-aminomethyl-4-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole and substituted salicylaldehyde of the type ML (where L is doubly deprotonated ligand) have been synthesised. All the complexes are coloured and non-electrolytes. A four-coordinate environment is proposed for metal ion. |
