| Abstract: | The Curtius rearrangement of 3-methoxybenzofuran-2-carbonylazide, prepared from the readily accessible ethyl 3-methoxybenzofuran-2-carboxylate was investigated in presence of ethanol, phenols and aromatic amines and the resulting carbamides were screened for antimicrobial activity. |
