Abstract: | New phosphates, Na2(R, Co)Zr(PO4)3, where R ? La, Ce, Pr or Nd, were synthesized 1. (a) by chemical reactions, 2. (b) from aqueous solutions, and 3. (c) by a hydrothermal technique. The quality of the resulting material depends strongly upon the technique used. Method (c) is best suited for the growth of high-quality single crystals. The introduction of R elements produces NASICON analogues with simpler structures, which are prospective superionic conductors. © 1985. |
