Abstract: The boundary layer theory for the free convection flow past a porous vertical wall has been developed when the time dependent suction is applied at the wall. The expressions for the velocity and the temperature distributions inside the boundary layer have been calculated and from the expressions for the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer from the wall to the liquid have been calculated.
