Synthesis of new series of 1,8-bis (thiazolidinone) octanes and their derivatives as potent anthelmintic and antimicrobial agents

Abstract

The acyl hydrazones I (a-k) obtained from treatment of sebacic acid hydrazide with various aromatic aldehydes were reacted with thioglycollic acid in dioxan to afford various 1,8-bis (thiazolidinone) octanes (II). These on further reacting with aldehydes resulted into their respective derivatives (III).
