Cotyledonary node-derived calli of chickpea were selected for their resistance to crude culture filtrate of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri, which causes wilt disease in chick pea. A number of plantlets were regenerated from each of the Fusarium culture filtrate-selected calli on MS medium + 10-6M BAP. The plantlets obtained from the Fusarium culture filtrate-selected calli showed resistance to culture filtrate of Fusarium; on the contrary plantlets regenerated from unselected calli showed wilt symptoms.en_US
