A low profile omni-directional and circularly polarized one pair inclined slot microstrip antenna (ISMSA) and V-slot microstrip antenna (VSMSA) are proposed. The one pair ISMSA gives left-hand circular polarization (LHCP), right-hand circular polarization (RHCP), and nearly omni-directional radiation pattern. However, by modifying the in-clined slots of ISMSA in the form of V, the antenna gives improved omnidirectional radiation pattern with LHCP and RHCP. The design concept of these antennas is given and the experimental results are discussed. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.en_US
