Abstract: | For the oscillating system containing BrO3--Mn II-tartaric acid and acetone in various acid media, the effects of salts like potassium nitrate and potassium sulfate and a representative non-aqueous solvent soluble in water like 1,4-dioxane have been studied; the oscillatory characteristics have been computed. Mechanistic possibilities for the observed behavior have been suggested. |
