The flow and heat transfer characteristics of laminar free convection flow in an inclined channel consisting of a porous matrix sandwiched between two viscous fluid layers is investigated analytically. The channel walls are maintained at two different constant temperatures. The transport properties of the fluids in all regions are assumed to be constant. The resulting coupled nonlinear equations are solved using regular perturbation method. It is found that the effect of porous parameter is to slow down the motion of the fluid. Effect of physical parameters such as Grashof number, ratio of viscosities, ratio of thermal conductivities and angle of inclination on the flow are also analysed and depicted graphically.
