dc.description.abstract | The flow and heat transfer characteristics of two fluid flow in a vertical channel is investigated. The fluids in both regions are incompressible and the transport properties are assumed to be constant. The basic equations governing the flow constitute a set of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations that can be solved analytically by using series analysis. The obtained solutions for the velocity and temperature fields are evaluated numerically for various governing parameters. These results are illustrated graphically for the effects of the physical parameters such as Grashof number, viscosity ratio, width ratio, source and sink parameters on the velocity and temperature fields. It is found that the flow can be controlled by the suitable choice of heat generation or absorption coefficient, width ratio and viscosity ratio. | en_US |
