dc.description.abstractHydrolytic cleavage of 2-acetylbenzofuranhydrazone under acidic condition with aromatic aldehyde is described. This method of cleavage of C=N bond is shown to serve as a convenient method for the regeneration of ketone from ketohydrazone besides synthesis of aldazines.en_US
