| Abstract: | 1,5-Disubstituted uracils 2a-p were prepared efficiently in a single step, via the reaction of 5-substituted uracils 1a-d with diaryliodonium salts as strong electrophiles under anhyd condition in presence of sodium hydride and dry DMF in 50-75% yield. |
