dc.description.abstractChalcones are obtained by the base catalyzed condensation of 2,5-disubstituted indole-3-carboxaldehydes with substituted acetophenones followed by cyclization with hydrazine hydrate under microwave irradiation (MWI). The reaction rate is enhanced tremendously under microwave irradiation as compared to conventional method with improved yields.en_US
