Several 2-amino thiazolo [4,3-b]-1,3,4-oxadiazoles (3) were prepared from 1-[2-(2,5-disubstituted-1H-indo1-3-yl)-4-oxothiazolidin-3-yl] thiourea (2) by intramolecular cyclization. Compounds 3 on condensation with various aryl aldehydes gave respective Schiff's bases (4). The structures of these compounds were confirmed by their elemental analysis and spectral studies. Compounds 3 and 4 were screened for their antioxidant and antimicrobial activities.en_US
