Abstract: | Polyaniline-zinc oxide (PANI-ZnO) composites are synthesized by in-situ polymerization method. The prepared composites are characterized by employing X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) which confirms the presence of ZnO in polyaniline matrix and the formation of the composite. DC conductivity studies show thermally activated behavior of all the composites. The conductivity was found to increase with the increase in temperature indicating the semiconducting behavior of all the compositions. Maximum conductivity was observed in 20 wt% of ZnO in polyaniline. © Taylor and Francis Group, LLC. |
