Abstract: Polypyrrole/zinc oxide nanocomposites were synthesized by in-situ polymerizationmethods. The prepared nanocomposites were characterized by Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The dc conductivity of the samples was measured as a function of temperature in the range 30-180 degrees C and it was found that the increasing the concentration of Zinc oxide particles increases the conductivity due to the hopping of polarons and extended chain length of composites. Among all the nanocomposite 20% showing highest conductivity and sensitivity and these composites are useful in potential applications.
