dc.description.abstract | In this paper, we have investigated the flow, thermal and chemical properties on three dimensional steady laminar boundary layer flow of MHD Casson nanofluid toward a horizontal stretching sheet. Adequate similarity transformations are used to convert the governing PDEs of the considered problem to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The resultant non-dimensionalized boundary value problems of flow, heat and mass transfer are solved numerically by Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg fourth–fifth order method with an efficient shooting technique. The effect of various governing parameters on flow, heat and mass transfer are presented graphically. It is observed that applied magnetic field control the flow and minimize the friction factor, when Casson parameter tends to infinity the results are of Newtonian case. Our results are very much agreed with earlier published results for some limiting cases, which show that our present results are valid. © 2018 by American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved. | en_US |
