Abstract: Polyethylene oxide and polymethyl methacrylate (PEO-PMMA) polymer blend system complexed with LiClO4 salt and nano TiO2 was prepared using solution cast technique. Complex formation and change in structural and micro structural properties have been studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). The thermal properties of polymer films have been examined by the differential scanning calorimetry technique. Addition of TiO2 is observed to lower melting temperature. The frequency dependent a.c. conductivity reveals that the TiO2 in PEO-PMMA-LiClO4 is responsible for the increase of conductivity in the electrolyte. © 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
