dc.description.abstractThe morphology and life-history of a new species of cephaline gregarine, Odonaticola diplacodi sp. nov., from the gut of the Odonate, Diplacodes trivialis (Rambur) have been described. The trophozoites reach a maximum length of 645 ?m. The epimerite is dome-shaped having eight downwardly recurved pataloid spines. Cysts oval measuring 660 ?m × 735 ?m in dimension with a thick (70 ?m) ectocyst. Sporocysts boat-shaped, 13,8 ?m × 4,4 ?m. © 1986, VEB Gustav Fischer Verlag Jena. All rights reserved.en_US
