New superionic conductors, NaCu2ZrP3O12 and Na2(La, Fe)ZrP3O12 crystals were synthesized by chemical reactions and hydrothermal method. The crystals were characterized by using XRD, SEM, chemical analysis and the measurements of ionic conductivity. According to the X-ray powder data NaCu2ZrP3P12 and Na2(La, Fe)ZrP3O12 crystallize in tetragonal and orthorhombic systems, respectively. The ionic conductivity values were found to be in the order of 10-2 to 10-1 (? cm)-1 at 300°C and the activation energy for ionic motion was in the range of 0.5-0.8 eV. © 1987.en_US
