Abstract: Heavy metal toxicity was observed to be in the order of Cu>Cd>Ni. Calcium and Mg up to 100 mg/liter promoted while further additions decreased the primary productivity. Though ferric ammonium citrate alone decreased producticity, it tended to reduce toxicity of the heavy metals probably through chelation. -from Authors
