Abstract: Different mechanic and non-mechanic equations are used to compute kinetic parameters from TG studies of FeC4H4O6 . 2.5H(2)O. A phase boundary reaction mechanism is proposed for the dehydration of the tartrate. The results from de electrical conductivity have been used to supplement the thermal data. Kinetic parameters are also evaluated employing DTG/DTA technique. Infrared and magnetic susceptibility data are employed to propose the molecular structure of the tartrate.
