Synthesis of some new heterocyclic systems bearing (3H)-benzofuropyrimidin-4-one-3-yl moiety as antibacterial agents

Abstract

Some heterocyclic systems have been synthesized by the interaction of 3,4-dihydro-4-oxobenzofuro [3,2-d] pyrimidine (1) with bifunctional compounds followed by cyclisation under different reaction conditions. All compounds were screened for their activity against bacteria.
