Abstract: An efficient method was developed for in vitro propagation Solanum surattense Burm. f. Multiple shoot formation was noticed on Murashige and Skoog's medium supplemented with 2 mg/l 6-benzylaminopurine and 1 mg/l kinetin from nodal explants and 4 mg/l 6-benzylaminopurine and 1 mg/l kinetin from leaf explants. Shoot elongation was occurred on MS medium supplemented with 1 mg/l 6-benzylaminopurine and 1 mg/l gibberellic acid. Efficient rooting was achieved on 1/2 strength MS medium supplemented with 1 mg/l indole3-butyric acid and 0.5 mg/l phloroglucinol. The regenerated plantlets were acclimatized and successfully transferred to the field condition.
