dc.description.abstractA series of new pyrazolines 3a-m and isoxazoles 4a-k haw been synthesized from 4-acetylthioanisole, 1 with aryl aldehydes through alpha, beta-unsaturated ketones. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds have been confirmed oil the basis of elemental analysis and spectral studies. The newly synthesized title compounds have been tested for their analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity. Some of the compounds exhibited encouraging results.en_US
