Abstract: Mass attenuation coefficients have been measured for mono- and disaccharides at photon energies 5.947, 6.460 and 14.413keV. The measured values are compared with theoretical calculations. The agreement between experiment and theory is generally within 5%. © 2004 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
