Abstract: In this article, the planar ultra-wideband antenna (UWB) along with two rejected bands is composed. The dimensions of the outlined antenna are 30 mm x 40 mm. This antenna is composed using FR4 substrate with a rectangular conducting patch over the surface and a ground plane on the base of the surface. The top layer and the bottom layer are made of copper conducting material and the antenna module is driven with a 50 ? impedance feed line. The rectangular patch on the top layer has circular cuts on the four corners and two slots for notching purpose. The two notch bands at Wi-MAX (3.3GHz-3.7GHz)& WLAN (5.15-5.825GHz) are obtained because of the two slots. The results demonstrated in this article have an adequate gain in the pass bands while a sharp drop in the rejected groups. The High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) tool is used to study &outline the complete design of the antenna. The results that are obtained through practical measurements confirm that the antenna characteristics has acceptable response. The radiation pattern in the E and H plane is also considered. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc.. All rights reserved.
