dc.description.abstractA study of Belousov-Zhabotinskii system with 15 different substrates in phosphoric acid medium with ferroin/Mn(II) as catalysts is made. It is noticed that ferroin gives rise to more varied oscillatory behaviour than Mn(II). In general, the ratio of onset periods, t(in)[ferroin]/t(in)[Mn(II)], for the system containing acetone as one of the mixed organic substrates is found to be almost-equal-to 1.5 to 2.0.en_US
